Billy Cauble was the Team Captain of the No Land or Cattle team in the 2008 Competition. His life was tragically ended 24 days later, While traveling to help his father, Rhett Cauble, work cattle on the Pacheco Ranch Northwest of Clayton, New Mexico. Billy was a top hand, not only with horses and cattle, but more important, he was one of the most caring and friendly cowboys we had ever known. He was just 22 years old and left a young wife and son the the time of his passing.
